TextBridge Pro is an OCR program for Windows. This program can turn printed pages into electronic documents through the use of your scanner.
The results will be saved in common formats, so you can use them with such widely used applications like Word, Excel, etc. Once you've installed the program, you should choose the TWAIN source you will use to input information (scanners or cameras). When done, you can configure and test your TWAIN source to work with the program. You will also have a separate entry in the program's tree to perform the same process. In order to perform an OCR scan, you can choose to use three modes: Auto OCR and Manual OCR (where you will be able to choose if you want to load a file, scan in Black and White, Color or Greyscale, and define the original and the output) or the OCR Wizard, that will automatically choose the settings for you. After scanning the document, the program will open the Proofreader window, where you will be presented with strange characters, and you will be able to specify how to interpret them. Once finished, you will be offered to save the results as a document. The available formats are Word 6.0, 97or 2000, Excel 3 to 7, 97 or 2000, ASCII text, FrameMaker, Freelance Graphics, Harvard Graphics, HTML, PowerPoint, PageMaker, Quattro Pro 4.0, RTF, Unicode, Ventura Publisher, WordPad, WordPerfect or the native TextBridge Pro format.
